Troubleshooting

Why does an upload report a file-size verification failure?

Size verification is a post-transfer/provider check, separate from the uploader's 5 MB file-size limit.

Navigation: Open Forms 145/146 → Forms Dashboard → Documents drawer → affected file → status / Activity

How to do it

  1. Record the exact error, provider, file extension and source size.
  2. Check whether the existing row is pending, failed or awaiting cleanup before another upload.
  3. Confirm the source file opens locally and that the selected file is not empty or over 5 MB.
  4. Ask your Admin/support to investigate a persistent mismatch with those details, especially for an Office file modified by its provider.

What to expect

Support can separate an incomplete transfer from provider-side metadata changes or a source-format problem.

Important details

  • Do not repeatedly upload the same Word file while the original record/cleanup is unresolved.
  • Do not bypass verification by changing extensions or using another user's temporary link.
