What do I need before using portal actions?
Portal actions use the connected extension account. Form 146 requires CA credentials; Form 145 requires remitter credentials.
Navigation: Open Forms 145/146 → Forms Dashboard → form list/editor → portal-extension status badge
How to do it
- Read the portal-extension badge in the form list/editor and follow its install/account instructions if disconnected.
- Use the extension's account controls to add/select the intended account: ARCA CA credentials for Form 146, remitter PAN credentials for Form 145.
- Return to the form and confirm the badge identifies the expected account rather than Add CA Credentials / Add Remitter Credentials.
- Check the form's CA membership/remitter PAN against that account before upload, PDF download, portal comparison or signing.
What to expect
Supported portal actions become available when the connection and account requirements are satisfied.
Important details
- A signed-in WrapTax account and a connected Income Tax portal account are different prerequisites.
- Use the extension's current install/update guidance; do not share portal credentials, OTPs or PINs in a help request.
