How do I map existing UDINs to the Income Tax portal?
Map UDIN is separate from generating a UDIN through ICAI.
Navigation: Open Forms 145/146 → Forms Dashboard → Form 146 List → select records → Map UDIN
How to do it
- Open Form 146 List with the correct CA account connected in the extension.
- Select the intended records and click Map UDIN in the selection bar.
- Review the acknowledgement and UDIN rows in Update UDIN; enter/correct the numbers using the dialog's offered controls.
- Run the dialog's update action and inspect the item results instead of assuming every selected record was updated.
What to expect
The mapping workflow uses the saved/entered UDINs for the selected portal records.
Important details
- Check that the acknowledgement belongs to the intended certificate and that a valid UDIN exists first.
- A generated UDIN saved in WrapTax does not itself prove that portal mapping succeeded.
